The fair named ExpoCalidad2021 is a meeting point for the promotion of quality assurance in exports from Colombia
Bogotá, D.C. November 5th, 2021. The ColombiaMide Project, with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the National Institute of Metrology (INM) and the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC), are pleased to announce the first trade fair on quality services ExpoCalidad2021 – ColombiaMide and its regions. Ensuring trust in measurements and quality in products. The project is implemented by the German Metrology Institute (PTB) and financed by the European Union.
The fair is a platform for service providers to exchange knowledge and promote services on quality assurance across value chains, particularly on the production of Hass avocado and Colombian cocoa beans. It takes place virtually on Tuesday, November 23rd and Wednesday, November 24th, 2021, starting at 08:00 A.M. (Colombian time). Registration and participation are free of charge.
ExpoCalidad2021 exhibits are conducive to raise awareness of good practices in the areas of technical standardization and metrological traceability, which guarantee an increased readiness to meet the requirements applied by international markets on the production of Hass avocado and cocoa. Additionally, participation in forums, discussion rounds and conferences led by national and international experts in metrology and standardization inform visitors on best practices and the latest industry trends.
During the fair, visitors are able to meet and hold business-to-business (B2B) meetings with beneficiaries of the ColombiaMide project and other relevant actors of the Colombian quality system. The services exhibit hosts more than 70 stands of national and regional entities, production companies and associations, marketers, laboratories, research centres and different actors of the Hass avocado and cocoa value chains. Visitors can schedule B2B meetings during the event or even beforehand. ColombiaMIDE has designed the event as an opportunity for beneficiaries to promote their services and increase their participation in national and international markets.
