PTB’s CABUREK Global Programme of the “Metrology for Digital Transformation in International Cooperation” (M4DT-IC) project hosted its fourth workshop from 30 June to 3 July 2025. In the programme, representatives of 29 national metrology institutes (NMIs) and designated institutes from all over the world (Africa, America, Asia, and Europe) are developing digital transformation strategies, digital calibration certificates (DCCs) and digital process management. They gathered for this online workshop to prepare the final mile of their nationally implemented projects and share their progress and the status of their indicators’ accomplishments.

During these online sessions, participants had the opportunity to receive input from their coaches who belong to NMIs that successfully began their digital transformation process several years ago. This input came from Germany, Argentina, India, Mexico, Panama, Thailand, Peru, and Uzbekistan.
So far, participants have carried out over 100 awareness-raising and training activities through their national projects, with a further 20 planned for the remainder of the year. They have already developed more than 40 tangible products. More products are in progress such as strategic plans, new procedures and software for digitalizing a task, reference DCC models, online platforms, pilot processes, and specifications for digital systems.
In this workshop, participants shared their experiences of engaging with internal and external stakeholders in their countries, receiving feedback to improve their project concepts, and formulating and monitoring their project indicators. They also received input on agile project management and pilot ideas for promoting gender equality in the digital transformation process.
