Not only does the International Cooperation group at PTB coordinate quality-improving projects all around the globe, it is also proud to host training courses and workshops intended to introduce young trade professionals to the importance of quality infrastructure. Today, we would like to draw your attention to a very special and unique course.
QuISP is short for “Quality infrastructure for Sustainable Development” and it is a blended learning course consisting of a kick-off workshop, an e-learning phase, and two weeks of face-to-face summer school in Germany. While past QuISP training courses have addressed quality management in other regions as in the Member States of the ASEAN economic community this year’s course focuses on trade and cooperation in Africa. It is inspired in particular by the ongoing cooperation between PTB and the Pan African Quality Infrastructure institutions (PAQI – www.paqi.org) which play a key role in the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA). Led by international experts, QuISP offers a great opportunity to gain experience and learn information that can be used to pursue the advancement of the African economy and trade, and with that, the quality of life in Africa.
This year’s training course will take place during August and September, with a kick-off workshop starting on 2 August and a summer school ending on 22 September. Since the costs of participation are entirely covered by PTB, the only currencies any participant needs to invest are time and effort.
